Thousands of worshippers have gathered at the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina for Itikaf in the last decade of the holy month of Ramadan. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that about 4,000 worshippers from 120 countries are participating in Itikaf this time. The western part of the roof of the mosque has been designated for male worshippers and the northeastern part for female worshippers. Men can enter the designated areas through stairs number 6 and 10 and women through doors number 24 and 25.

For the convenience of worshippers, special assistance help desks, lockers for personal belongings, medical clinics with first aid facilities, multilingual translation services and religious education have been arranged.

Iftar, dinner, sehri and mobile charging stations are also available. Each worshipper has been given a care kit and wristband, which will facilitate their movement and entry into the designated areas.
